"Pet it?"

So pretty much everytime we see an animal while we're driving, Colby says "pet it?"... and remember that we live in Lancaster County, so she's saying that an awful lot! So earlier this week we stopped at the grocery store petting zoo... that's right, Oregon Dairy grocery store has a petting area outside. There is a deer pen (we didn't pet them), and goats. Colby LOVED petting the goats, and after she saw another little girl pick some grass to give them, she followed right along. They also have a fun little playground.

Today we visited Hayloft Candles Petting Zoo in Leola... it's a store with a free petting zoo. We saw everything from mini donkeys, goats, llamas (or alpacas), pot-bellied pigs, deer, ducks, and more. They had food dispensers and I think I went through about $2 in quarters to feed all the little friends. Colby had so much fun, and had no fear about putting her fingers right up to their mouths!
Feeding the goats

Mommy's favorite... Scottish Highland Cattle! (or a yak if you are one of the other moms there today)... Daddy calls it a "Woolly Cow"
