On our way to Canada we stopped at Alexandria Bay on the Saint Lawrence River... near the Thousand Islands Border crossing. We took a boat over to Boldt Castle on Heart Island. It was started in 1900 but he stopped all construction when his wife died 4 years later. He even changed the shape of the island to look like a heart. They are working on the restoration but it was still a beautiful place.
